What we collect
This area gathers the declared information that anchors your match in the real world and sketches your everyday landscape. On one side, the context fields: location (city and country, optionally approximate coordinates for the "near you" mode), age, gender, occupation and education level, relationship intentions, marital status, living situation and declared routine.
On the other, your habits and tastes: spoken languages with proficiency, regional and cultural roots, religious or spiritual tradition with level of practice, food preferences, openness to other cultures and the hobbies and interests that fill your free time. All fields are optional except age and approximate location, which we need for geographic matching and to confirm legal age.
How it feeds the match
This layer works as basic filters and interpretive context, staying outside the scope of a psychological test. Filters rule out pairs with an age gap outside the tolerated range, excessive geographic distance or an incompatible relationship intention. Future intentions flagged as non-negotiables (children, location) are surfaced explicitly as a "cliff-edge" before the match moves forward.
Language is the only structural factor among the habits: for fluent conversation, at least one shared language is suggested. Culture, tastes and hobbies enter as everyday affinity and conversational context: they create small points of connection, with informational weight only. Occupation and education are informational only. Without this layer, psychological matching would float free of the real world.
Privacy & caveats
Declared data is voluntary: you can leave fields empty and return later. Precise location is only used with your explicit consent, in the "near you" mode; by default we store only city and country.
Some of this information is sensitive: religion, ethnic origin and nationality can be used for discrimination, so Agapone does not expose them to other users without your field-by-field visibility control, and consent here is granular and revocable at any time (GDPR art. 9). This information goes out of date over time (you have moved city, changed occupation or tastes), so we recommend a six-monthly review.
